Steve Georgoulis MS, CFM, SFP, Past President of the Greater Phoenix Chapter of IFMA Steve has been involved with Facilities Management for more than 40 years having worked as a Regional Manager for a Fortune 50 computer company with more than 3 million square feet of space. He has also worked in Europe as a Facilities and Project Manager with sites and projects covering most of the European continent. His 19 year professional association with IFMA (International Facilities Management Association) has provided Steve with a vast network of like-minded Facilities professionals who generously share their knowledge and ideas. Over the years, many of these FMs have become close friends. Steve has dedicated a great deal of his time and energy promoting the need to establish Facilities Management degree programs across the country to ensure that we have a continuous pipeline of educated future FMs to backfill the current population of Facility Managers who will be aging out of the profession over the next 15-20 years. As a result of his and many others from the Phoenix Chapter, a Master’s degree program with a focus on Facilities Management was established at Arizona State University. Steve was honored to serve a President of the Greater Phoenix Chapter of IFMA from 2015-2017. Although he has lived in Arizona for many years, he still has a soft spot for his home state sports teams. Especially, the Red Sox and Patriots! |
